With a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s in Administration, and extensive experience teaching elementary school, Kimberly Pardue is a rock star of curriculum writing. She’s one more shining example of how STEMscopes Math is written by teachers, for teachers.
Pardue began her education career teaching kindergarten and 1st grade. After working with kiddos at the lower grade levels, she moved on to teach 2nd and 4th grade math and science. Her time in the classroom primed her for the subsequent five years she spent working as a K-5 math and science instructional specialist in Cy-Fair ISD. She eventually decided to wave goodbye to those bustling elementary halls and stay home full-time raising her own children.
Writing lessons for STEMscopes Math gives Pardue the chance to keep up with new trends in education--for which she feels deeply grateful. “This job has been the biggest blessing for me and my family,” she says. “It’s even better that it is something l love and enjoy doing.” When Pardue is not writing curriculum, she’s spending time with her three sons and her husband of twelve years.
