Jenny Stallworth is a dynamo of an educator. She has taught almost all STEM subjects, homeschooled her four children from Pre-K through middle school, and written curriculum for STEMscopes Math and STEMscopes Science over the past six years. Now she has added to her glowing resume by contributing to the development of STEMscopes’ first-ever middle school math curriculum.
After teaching in Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas, Stallworth began writing curriculum for STEMscopes after a colleague suggested the idea to her. She completed a short trial period, and the rest is history.
In addition to her vast knowledge and experience, Stallworth inspires colleagues with conviviality and dedication. “She is always up for any challenge, with a positive attitude,” says Samla Velazquez, curriculum developer at STEMscopes Math. “Her enthusiasm, hard work, creativity, and knowledge shine through every lesson and activity she writes.”
Stallworth channels her mathematical skills into a hobby that is both exact science and demanding art: baking wedding cakes. The mother of triplets, she also spends her spare time watching her four teenagers compete in various aquatic sports (swimming, diving, water polo) and caring for her two beagle babies, Sully and Boo.
